Trump-Proof Tribal Sovereignty, Trust Responsibility & Tribal Rights

Across Indian Country Gaming has become economic driver for most of the tribes that have casinos.  As America is now battling with a new president that is non-representative of American’s people.  In his first two weeks, he is facing over 50 law suits against him.  He became a marked enemy by Native Americans by allowing two pipelines to proceed with their construction.  He stands with the rich and is on path to keep the poor of this nation poorer.  Writing is on the wall that Alaska Natives and Native Americans will have an uphill battle to maintain their tribal programs funded by Congress.  With a Republican Congress in 2016 the stole sacred tribal lands from the San Carlos Apache Tribe of Arizona.  2017 Congress is on move to target a Utah Tribe.  Federal Government has in place Federal Law in place making the government obligated to uphold trust responsibility and protect the tribes.  Republican Congress has breached tribal trust responsibility and yet agencies that are in place to protect the tribes did not voice their opposition or remind Congress of their Trust Responsibility.

To fully ensure that there is all-out protection to prevent Congress form ever breaching Trust Responsibility and Office of the President to uphold Alaska Native and Native American existing policies that are specifically in place to protect all tribes and obligating Federal Government overseeing that protection is in place.  To make this happen for all of Indian Country, USA Gaming Tribes should set aside part of its earned revenues specifically to protect tribal rights, existing policies and arm themselves to combat anti-Indian Legislation and monitor Congressional actions attempting to over-ride existing procedures for passage.  2016 Congress use military language to steal sacred tribal lands from San Carlos Apache Tribe.  Before any passage of Indian legislation there be complete tribal consultation to ensure tribal in-put to any Indian Affairs legislation is passed.  Have the capability of combating any adverse Congressional Legislation.

All of Indian Country, USA having internet capability should use it to the fullest targeting any adverse Congressional Legislation to target both US Senate and US House of Representatives to defeat such legislation or request approval of favorable legislation. Add your Senator or Representatives on your list using the social media to gain disapproval for adverse legislation or to gain approval of friendly legislation.  The Protectors of NoDAPL showed us what unity can do and gained global partners for their cause.  Tools are readily available it is to focus on creating a better future for Indian Country, USA.  We can create future now and make it happen my brothers and sisters for future generation to come. Blessings!!
